Senior Colourist at Nordisk Film ShortCut Oslo, Norway

Dylan's journey into the creative post-production industry began in 1999, where he has since become an integral and active part of the scene. From a young age, Dylan was drawn to the art of cinema, photography, design, architecture, drawing, music and technology, nurturing his love for audio and visual experiences. Though he spent his formative years in the UK, Dylan made Norway his permanent home at the age of nine.

Music has always been essential for Dylan, using his spare time immersing himself in guitar playing, songwriting and interacting with other musicians. He believes that a great color-grade, like an awesome song, requires a passionate beat and flow that supports the story's narrative.

Dylan discovered his love for color grading while working as a motion graphics designer, where he learned to appreciate the visual power of color schemes and harmonies. Over time, he transitioned into finishing and online work for commercials, TV, and cinema, with an unwavering focus on how light and color affect the audience's perception. Which then led him to committing his focus entirely towards high-end creative colour-grading over a decade ago.

During client sessions, he is never afraid to offer new intuitive looks. Always seeking new artistic prospects to create emotional and story-driven grades. His highly structured approach and solid technological knowhow enable him to retrieve the highest quality rendition of a DoP's imagery, giving more time for visual exploration and removing unnecessary loose ends.

Dylan's impressive collaborations with world-class directors, DoPs, and producers have resulted in numerous award-winning feature films, TV drama series, and shorts that have been showcased at prestigious festivals world wide.

Such as the Emmy Awards, the Oscars, Sundance film festival, Tribeca film festival, Toronto International Film Festival, Cannes Series, Series Mania, the Swedish Guldbagge Awards, the Danish Robert Awards, the Norwegian Amanda Awards and more.

Notable projects include:
Narvik, Charter, The Kiss, Rose, Blind Spot, The Fortress, Atlantic Crossing, Occupied, Pørni and Beforeigners.

While pursuing his dedicated career as a Senior Colourist, Dylan occasionally contributes as a popular lecturer at several Norwegian film schools, and recently held online masterclasses for other European film schools in collaboration with Blackmagic Design. Dylan is a “DaVinci Resolve Certified Trainer”.
In collaboration with Ravengrade and Lowepost, Dylan has created two feature rich colour grading masterclasses highlighting both his creative and technical approach to high-end grading on DaVinci Resolve.

The board of The Norwegian Society of Cinematographers (FNF) invited Dylan as a Colourist trade member of the society.

Stylistically, Dylan is a genre-independent color chameleon, able to adapt his artistic sensibility with great enthusiasm, no matter the arc of the story. He always welcomes a cup of tea and a chat about storytelling and color. Dylan's passion for cinematic experiences continues to drive his work, as he seeks to push the boundaries of creative grading to fashion impactful stories that resonate with audiences.
